Earthquake in Chile

On Saturday Febuary 27, while vacatioining 40 retirees were swept away and lost in the underbrush by a hard hitting 3 wave earthquake ranging almost 200 meters. With 723 dead in the town of Pellune, Chile.

Then shortly after the shock of the earthquake, the coast of Chile was hit by a tsunami standing more than 2 stories high. With no warning and no time to prepare even more people were swept away, drowned, and killed or missing. Leaving nearly 80% in the town of Talchnuanos averaging 180,000 people homeless.
