Semmester Exam
This film originally started out as a play in 1973 and then 5 years later erupted into this huge film production. This movie includes tons of singing and dancing. A story about two high school kids (Danny and Sandy)meeting on summer vacation and falling in love. Then when school rolls around next year at Ridell High they find themselves back together again. Danny turns out to be too cool for school and too cool for Sandy as well. Until jealousy gets the best of him, now he is competing for Sandy's heart all over. When she finally takes him back he makes their relationship official with his class ring, and then blows it all at the drive in movie. Sandy realizing how much she loves Danny decides maybe that it is time for her to make some changes. And arrives at the end of the year carnival dressed in tight leather and red lipstick and "Wows" Danny.
To me this movie is alot like the newer day High School Musical. Alot of the plot is similar. In High School Musical Gabriella and Troy meet at a New Years party on Christmas vacation. Alot like how Danny and Sandy meet. Then when school starts they realize they go to school together. And even though they want to talk and like each other the crowds they run in keep them apart, same as in Grease. Unlike in Grease, in High School Musical, the music and singing is what brings the kids together.
I personally love both of these musicals. The way the producers exaggerate the the kids life in high school, they show the peer pressure and heart break. And then at the same time they lighten everything up with the singing and dancing. I don't like that in Grease Sandy and Danny feel like they have to change who they are to be together. But besides that I adore both productions.
So from dancing and singing in the late 70's with Danny and Sandy, to basketball games and decathlons with Gabriella and Troy. These are both wonderful musicals about love and high school. And I will probably still be watching then long past my high school years.

Bilingual Educations
"When schools provide children education in their primary language, they give them two things: knowledge and literacy," say Stephen Krashen. Bilingual education takes Spanish speaking students and teaches them main things like math, science, history, etc. in their primary language and then comprehends those things into English. This program helps those students with English literacy and subject matter knowledge. This gives the students a much better chance at excelling and being successful.
Can non-English speaking students pass their courses without this bilingual program? Yes students can perform and have succeeded, but not with much needed help prom smaller programs such as De facto bilingual program. Which is a one on one system that helps Spanish speaking students with their work and to better comprehend the work they are having problems with. I think still that the bilingual education would be much more effective. Especially for bigger schools with a higher population of Hispanic students.
Although as much as 87% of academic publications support the bilingual education program there are still many who disagree with this program. Many of the people who disagree with it don't even really disagree with the program. They disagree with other details such as requiring teachers to learn the second language in order to keep their jobs. Others who are against the program believe that in cities and states with high Hispanic populations should have Spanish speaking schools. "English was not always the primary language of education in American schools," says Rosalie Porter.
These things all may be true and should all be taken into consideration, but after all my research I still believe the bilingual education program would be a very effective program. I don't think its necessary however to have complete Spanish speaking schools.

Ipods
I do not agree with this ban. Students that are going to cheat aren't goingtop just because they don't have their Ipods to help then. People have been cheating in school ever sense school was invented I'm sure. And this ban is also not fair for students that don't cheat! What about the students that are in sports and stuff after school that are allowed to use their Ipods? Or students that ride the bus home? How can you ban all students from having their Ipods? Wouldn't it be much easier and less intense if schools just didn't allow Ipods during testing periods?
Link to my comment about banning Ipods.
European Deathstorm
This storm also hit Belgium, Portugal, Spain, and parts of Germany. Cutting off all air and train travel across the continent.
